Decoration Description:

Side A: Two nude men, confronted. The beardless youth on the left wears his hair long with a long forelock and holds two cocks in his hands. The bearded man on the right approaches, offerings a leashed dog. What is being shown is the presentation of love gifts by the erastes or older lover to the eromenos or youthful beloved. This is called by Beazley, Beta, the second stage of courtship as shown in Attic vase-painting.

Side B: Similar scene. The bearded man on the left strides forward and offers the youth a stag while he reaches up to caress the youth's forehead. The beardless youth wears his hair long with two long forelocks in front of his ears and stands on the right holding two cocks.

On the neck is an intertwining palmette lotus. Under the handles is a bold design of spirals with accessory palmettes and lotus buds. Below the designs is a band of lotus buds and rays at the junction of the foot. Accessories are in red; and incised lines are used sparingly for anatomical details.
