10 ا@سْتَأْوَيْتُهُ ذ I asked him, or desired him, to compassionate me, or have mercy on me; syn. ا@سْتَرْحَمْتُهُ. (T.) A poet (namely, Dhu-r-Rummeh, TA) says, “ وَلَوْ أَنَّنى ا@سْتَأْوَيْتُهُ مَا أَوَى لِيَا
