El. 191 “ἀεικεῖ σὺν στολᾷ.” τῆς: see on 747. γέρων … πίνος: Od. 22.184 “σάκος εὐρὺ γέρον, πεπαλαγμένον ἄζῃ” (stained with rust): Theocr. 7. 17 “ἀμφὶ δέ οἱ στήθεσσι γέρων ἐσφίγγετο πέπλος” (cp. “anus charta,” Catull. 68. 46). So Aristoph. Lys. 1207 “ἄρτος...νεανίας” συγκατῴκηκεν, has made an abiding home, emphatic perf., cp. 186 “τέτροφεν” (n.), 1004.
