[*] 263. Aorist of the future. The aorist may be used as a vision of the future. “ἀπωλόμην ἄῤ, εἴ με δὴ λείψεις, γύναι”, EUR. Alc. 386; I am undone, if thou shalt leave me, wife. EUR. Alc. 386 (see above). Med. 78: “ἀπωλόμεσθ᾽ ἄῤ, εἰ κακὸν προσοίσομεν” | “νέον παλαιῷ”. HOM. Il. 9.412-5: “εἰ μέν κ᾽ αὖθι μένων Τρώων πόλιν ἀμφιμάχωμαι”, | “ὤλετο μέν μοι νόστος, ἀτὰρ κλέος ἄφθιτον ἔσται:” | “εἰ δέ κεν οἴκαδ᾽ ἵκωμαι ἐμὴν ἐς πατρίδα γαῖαν”, | “ὤλετό μοι κλέος ἐσθλόν”.
