Chron. 252), ταυροσφάγος (Lyc. 47), ταυροφόνος (Orph. Hym. 14.2); for pecus indicates neat cattle as well as sheep; cf. Varro RR 2.1.12 “de pecore maiore, in quo sunt … boues, asini, equi” .
