The argument is: had the Egyptians learned any divine names from the Greeks, they would have been those of the sea gods, Poseidon and the Dioscuri, but these are unknown to the Egyptian pantheon; a fortiori then it is unlikely that they learned that of ‘Heracles’. The words ὥστε τούτων ... Ἡρακλέος restate more strongly the preceding argument.
