[195] βλάπτουσι, ‘hinder him from his journey.’ Cp. Od.4. 380πεδάᾳ καὶ ἔδησε κελεύθου”, Aesch. Ag.120βλαβέντα λοισθίων δρόμων. βλάπτειν” is to be referred to a root mlā (cp. “μαλακός, βλάξ”), containing the sense of ‘weakening,’ or ‘wearing out.’
