It has been suggested here to take “ἀλεγύνετε” as the subjunctive with short vowel, in which case it will be in the government of “ἵνα” and parallel to “ἀποείπω”. But see Monro, H. G. p. 41 ‘There are no clear instances of Thematic stems forming the subjunctive with a short vowel.’
