[581] It is not necessary to supply any apodosis after “εἴ πέρ κ᾽ ἐθέληισι”: it is a supposition made interjectionally, ‘only suppose he should will to drive us away!’ Bentley's “στυφελίξει”, to supply the apodosis, is far weaker. Cf. 21.567, Od. 21.261. Brandreth writes “στυφελίξαι, γ᾽ ἄρ”.
