[290] ὑπέρτερον forms part of the predicate, ‘that ye may obtain your boast in victory,’ or perhaps ‘exalted above the boast of the Greeks.’ Cf. 12.437, 15.491 “κῦδος ὑπέρτερον” = glory of victory. But Ar. read “ὑπέρτεροι”.
