[776] ἀμφὶ ἕπετον, were ‘treating,’ preparing for the meal. For this form of the 2nd person dual in historic tenses see H. G. § 5 ad fin., and note on 8.448. Zen. read “ἠθελέτην” in 782, and therefore no doubt “ἑπέτην” here.
