[28] κευθμῶν, here only, the cases being elsewhere always formed from a nom. “κευθμών”. Ar. compared “αὐλόσ-αὐλών”. ἠγνοίησεν, Ar. “ἠγνοίησαν”: he held that H. preferred the plural verb with neuter plurals and evidently carried through his theory in spite of the best tradition, in ignorance of the “Ϝ” of “Ϝάνακτα”.
