[186] Of the various forms given by the MSS. “νισόμενον” was regarded as a future (Eust. ad loc.). “ϝίσσεσθαι” is doubtless right, for “νι-νσ-j-εσθαι”, root “νες”, though “νίσ-εσθαι” may be defended as = “νί-νσ-εσθαι”, cf. “πί-πτ-ω”.
