[795] The variant “δέ οἱ” for δέ is noticeable; it is very doubtful if ἔθειραι ever had an initial “ϝ” (22.315 is the only other evidential passage, cf. 19.382), and it is quite possible that we ought in fact to read “δέ ϝ᾽”(“οι”) “ἔθειραι”, where “ϝοι” = “Πατρόκλωι” as in 801.
