[274] τι πάθοιμι seems to be used in the familiar Attic sense, perish: ‘if I be but saved from shameful death by drowning, then let come what may.’ Cf. 11.470 “δείδω μή τι πάθηισιν”, and for the thought 17.647 “ἐν δὲ φάει καὶ ὄλεσσον”.
