[831] προτί goes with Ἀχιλλῆος: the insertion of the verb between preposition and case is very unusual. For δεδιδάχθαι Zen. read “δεδάασθαι” (or “-αάσθαι”), as Od. 16.316. This looks much more like a Homeric form, and perhaps should be adopted in the text. Van L. reads “δεδαέσθαι” as an aor., cf. Od. 6.233 “δέδαε” = “ἐδίδαξε”.
