[677] ἀμφικόμωι, here “ἀμφι-” has clearly been extended from the primitive sense on both sides, and means all round; see note on “ἀμφιδάσεια,15.308. For “κόμη” used of foliage see Od. 23.195ἀπέκοψα κόμην τανυφύλλου ἐλαίης”, and “ὑψίκομος14.398.
