[25] ἔηνδανεν (also Od. 3.143), probably a mere corruption of “ἑάνδανεν” for “ἐϝάνδανεν” on the analogy of the later “ἥνδανεν” (H. G. § 67, n. 2), like “ἐωινοχόει4.3. Compare also the Attic “ἑώρων” etc. “ἑάνδανε” is actually found in the MSS. of Herodotos, ix. 5, 19. For ἔνθ᾽ ἄλλοις Nauck conj. “ἄλλοισιν”, to avoid the short form.
