[113] This is the only occurrence of the name of Klytaimnestra in the Iliad. It will be seen that A has an indication of what is now generally acknowledged to be the correct form, “Κλυταιμήστρη”, given by the best MSS. of Aischylos and Soph., though the rest have the faulty “-μνήστρη”.
