[831] 831-4 = 11.329-32. In both places MSS. give “οὐδ᾽ ἑούς” for οὐδὲ οὕς (“σϝούς”). Merops seems to have migrated from Perkote (see 835), or rather the name points to some hero-worship common to all the district; cf. Ap. Rhod. i. 975.
