[93] περιδείδια must be read in one word, or the caesura disappears; but Herodianos preferred “πέρι δείδια” here, and in 17.240 takes the same view, “ἀναστρεπτέον τὴν πρόθεσιν”. Compare note on 4.97. In 13.52 the preposition must go with the verb.
