[54] μετὰ πάντας ὁμήλικας must mean among all of thine own age, or there is no sense in the passage; compare the very similar Od. 16.419. See also note on 2.143. The peculiarity of these three passages is that there is no verb of motion, such as regularly precedes “μετά” in this sense; H. G. § 195. Nauck conj. “κατά”.
