[738] Cf. 21.14 “τὸ δὲ φλέγει ἀκάματον πῦρ ὄρμενον ἐξαίφνης”. Here also φλεγέθει may be transitive, though “πόλιν” is more likely governed by “ἐπεσσύμενον. μινύθουξι” intrans., 16.392.
