[177] For οἵ Dion. Sidon. (and Bentley) read “οἰ̔̂”, which is pleasing in itself, and agrees with the habit of making a decided pause after “νήπιος” used interjectionally, instead of connecting it closely with what follows. We have, however, “νήπιοι οἵ” in 15.104 and Od. 1.8, so that the question is doubtful. “μηχανάασθαι” is elsewhere always followed by an adj. in the neuter plural, not by a substantive.
