[424] πρότμησιν, apparently the cut place (cf. 1.235τομή”) in front, i.e. the navel. The word recurs only in Quintus Smyrnaeus. There was some variant, but the scholia are contradictory, and it is not easy to say what it was. Photios Lex. has “πρότμηστιν: ὀμφαλόν”.
