[190] Ἀϊδωνῆϊ προϊάψειν, as “Ἄϊδι προΐαψεν1.3. The name “Ἀϊδωνεύς” occurs again only 20.61 in H.; it is not Pindaric, but appears rather to be a word of the tragedians. For προϊάψειν La R. would prefer “προϊάψαι”, ‘I thought I had dispatched him.’
