[126] It would be needless to say that κεφαλ̂ης means by the hair of the head, but for the amusing commentary of Schol. B, ‘some explain that he took Ate from his own head, because “ἀνδρῶν καὶ θεῶν κράατα βαίνει” (sic).’ λιπαροπλοκάμοιο, here only, evidently refers to an abundant use of unguents.
