[504] This line looks as though it were formed on 18.138 “ὣς ἄρα φωνήσασα πάλιν τράπεθ᾽ υἷος ἑοῖο”, but the constr. must be different, as πάλιν evidently cannot here be taken with the gen., back from (see 20.439). We must either make θυγατέρος depend on “τόξα” or regard it as a gen. of the point aimed at or attained (H. G. § 151 b, c). Neither of these alternatives is satisfactory.
