[665] “γάρ οἱ”, MSS. with Ar.; but the neglect of the digamma in the pronoun “οἱ” is so rare that it is better to read “γὰρ οἱ. οἱ ἄλλοι” is common enough in H.; e.g. 11.75, 264, 524, 540, and many other cases; see 6.90.
