[145] Where the σκοπίη was we cannot say. It can hardly be, as the scholia think, the tomb of Aisyetes where Polites is posted as “σκοπός” in 2.793, for that must have been far from the wall. The ἐρινεός is named as a landmark again in 6.433, 11.167.
