[499] ἀποκταμένου Zen. and “αἱπλεῖσται, καὶ ἔστιν οὐκ ἀπίθανος ἡ γραφή”, Did. The word evidently brings out the sense of homicide better than the vulg. “ἀποφθιμένου”, though the latter is of course possible.
