[596] παιδός, from her son; χειρί, with her hand (not ‘at her son's hand’; the dat. is used after “δέξασθαι,15.87, etc., but only of persons, being a strict dat. ethicus). For the gen. cf. 14.203δεξάμενοι Ῥείης,9.632, 11.124, and particularly 24.305κύπελλον ἐδέξατο ἧς ἀλόχοιο”.
