[287] The ordinary reading is “Πάτροκλέ μοι”, but as there is a slight pause after the voc., the enclitic would virtually stand at the head of the clause, and it is therefore better to divide as in the text. There remains however the ‘Attic’ shortening of “ο” before “κλ”, and there is no obvious reason for the emphatic “ἐμοί”.
