[248] Cf. Od. 21.335 “πατρὸς δ᾽ ἐξ ἀγαθοῦ γένος εὔχεται ἔμμεναι υἱός”, for the use of “ἐκγεγάμεν”. But the line, which is omitted by one MS., looks suspiciously like an interpolation.
