[291] For “παρίσταο”, the reading of Zen. and Ar., compare the imperatives 15.475 “μάρναο,” Od. 18.171 “φάο,” Od. 10.333 “θέο” . The usual rule is that the “ς” is preserved in the imperat. but omitted in the imperf.; H. G. p. 4.
