[391] ἄτηισι is so far peculiar here that it is used of ‘blinding,’ deception, of a purely human origin; “ἄτας ἔφη τὰς ἐπὶ κακῶι ὑποσχέσεις”, Schol. BT. In every other instance it conveys the idea of some divine or mysterious blindness. παρὲκ νόον: see on 24.434.
